How our content is made
Research-based, not hands-on testing
Our reviews, comparisons and guides are compiled from manufacturer specifications, published documentation and verified owner reviews. We do not operate a testing lab, we do not claim to have personally used every product we discuss, and any score or verdict reflects our reading of those published sources.
Target ranges and numbers
We often publish target ranges for pH, nutrient strength (PPM or EC), humidity, temperature and similar readings. These are general ranges drawn from widely used growing guides and equipment manuals. The right number for your plants depends on species, growth stage, growing medium, lighting and local conditions. Treat our ranges as a starting point, watch your plants, and adjust.
Safety
Indoor growing involves electricity, water, heat and sometimes chemicals, often in the same small space. Follow every manufacturer instruction, use properly rated outlets and extension cords, keep electrical equipment above water lines, and never modify equipment in ways the maker does not approve. We are not responsible for injury, fire, flooding or damage resulting from the use of any product or method mentioned on the Site.
Accuracy and currency
We try hard to keep information accurate and current, but products are updated, discontinued and repriced constantly. We make no warranty that any specification, price, availability or feature described on the Site is correct at the time you read it.
