What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember things between page views, such as whether you have visited before or which link you clicked. Cookies cannot run programs or carry viruses.

Third party cookies
Analytics and affiliate cookies are set by third parties under their own privacy policies. Google explains its use of data at Google’s privacy and terms pages. Amazon explains its cookies in the Amazon privacy notice. We do not control these cookies and we do not receive personal details from them.
Managing cookies
You control cookies through your browser. Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, and block third party cookies specifically. Look for “Privacy” or “Site data” in your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop analytics tracking across all sites.
Good to know
Blocking cookies will not stop you reading Root Plot. It may stop affiliate commissions being attributed to us when you buy through our links, which is the main way the site is funded.
